After Holi, changes in weather are being seen in many parts of North India. Strong winds may continue in Delhi-NCR, while snowfall is likely in Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir. According to the weather department, light rain and thunderstorms may occur in parts of Punjab, Haryana, western Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. After Holi, Delhi’s weather has changed slightly. On Sunday, the capital recorded a maximum temperature of 32°C and a minimum of 17°C, indicating clear weather. However, strong winds with speeds of 25-35 km/h may occur on 17th and 18th March. On 19th and 20th March, partly cloudy skies may be seen, resulting in mild weather changes.
The weather department has issued a Yellow Alert for Kerala. Thunderstorms and light rainfall are expected in several parts of the state. Meanwhile, an Orange Alert has been issued for Tamil Nadu, especially in southern Tamil Nadu, where heavy rainfall is likely.
On Sunday, light rainfall and snowfall were recorded in Himachal Pradesh. According to the weather department, heavy snowfall may occur in Lahaul-Spiti today. According to IMD, light to moderate rainfall may occur in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar, Dehradun, Pauri, Almora, and Pithoragarh. Rain and lightning are also expected in Haridwar, Champawat, and Nainital. Snowfall may occur in Dehradun and higher regions, so travelers and locals have been advised to remain alert.
