MP Weather Update Today, February 16, 2024: Madhya Pradesh has been experiencing continuous weather changes over the past few days. Recently, alerts for fog and thunderstorms have been issued in several districts. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain and lightning are expected in various parts of Madhya Pradesh over the next 24 hours.
The Meteorological Department has forecast scattered showers with thunderstorms in the districts of Betul, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone, and Chhindwara. Additionally, a yellow alert for lightning has been issued in certain areas of Burhanpur and Chhindwara.
The impact of fog may also be observed in the districts of Rewa, Satna, Sidhi, Singrauli, Shahdol, Umaria, Katni, Jabalpur, Panna, Damoh, and Chhatarpur. Dense fog is likely to cover these areas, leading to reduced visibility. A yellow alert has been issued for all these districts as well.
The Meteorological Department believes that similar weather conditions will persist in many parts of the state for the next 24 to 48 hours. Light rain accompanied by thunderstorms may occur in some areas, and fog is expected to persist in several districts. There is currently no indication that the cold will let up.
Impact of Weather on Agriculture: This weather pattern could pose challenges for farmers. Unseasonal rain and hail could damage crops. Keeping the Meteorological Department's warnings in mind, farmers are advised to take protective measures for their crops. Additionally, they should pay attention to waterlogging and soil conditions to prevent crop loss.
