IMD’s Warning: Temperature Hits 37.8°C in March:

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhi's temperature on March 29 reached 37.8°C, making it the hottest day of the year so far. This temperature was 5°C above the seasonal average. Similarly, on March 27, the temperature had also risen to 37°C, making it the second hottest day of the season. These records indicate that the heat has arrived earlier than usual this year.

Rising Temperatures Expected in the Coming Days:

The IMD has forecasted further increases in temperature in the coming days. In the months of April and May, Delhi is likely to experience even higher temperatures. As usual, the city is expected to witness temperatures exceeding 40°C during the summer months. By the end of April or the beginning of May, heatwaves may also occur, which could lead to a rise in health-related issues.

How to Stay Safe from Health Issues Due to Heat: To avoid health problems during the intense heat, it is important to increase the intake of cooling, water-rich fruits. Include foods such as cucumbers, watermelons, and citrus fruits in your diet as they help cool the body. Additionally, drinking at least 8-10 glasses of water per day is essential to prevent dehydration. When stepping outside, apply sunscreen and wear sunglasses to protect your skin and eyes from the harsh sun. As temperatures continue to rise, it is crucial to take proactive steps to stay cool and safe during this early summer heat.
