IMD Weather Update: Strong Winds and Storm Alert in These States

The beginning of April will bring significant weather changes in many parts of India. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), northwestern India is expected to experience strong winds at speeds of 20-40 km/h, while central India may witness storms and hailstorms. IMD has issued an advisory for strong winds, thunderstorms, lightning, and hailstorms, urging people to remain cautious.
Which States Will Experience Rain and Storms?
States Affected on April 1 and 2:
Madhya Pradesh Weather, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, and Rayalaseema: Strong winds at 30-60 km/h, thunderstorms, and lightning.
Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe, Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Yanam: Possibility of light to moderate rainfall.
Western Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Central Maharashtra, Marathwada, and North Interior Karnataka: Hailstorm risk.
April 2: Eastern Madhya Pradesh and Coastal Karnataka: Possibility of hailstorms.
Temperature Changes and Heatwave Risk:
Uttar Pradesh: Temperature may drop by 2-4°C in the next 24 hours, but could rise by 4-6°C over the next 2-5 days.
Gujarat: Maximum temperatures may increase by 2-3°C over the next 5 days.
Central India and Maharashtra: No major change for the next 3 days, but temperatures may drop by 2-3°C afterward.
Heatwave and Extreme Weather Alert:
Odisha (interior regions) and West Bengal (Gangetic areas): Heatwave conditions expected until April 2.
Assam and Tripura: Hot and humid conditions will persist.
Coastal Gujarat: Hot and humid weather is likely to continue.
April will begin with significant weather changes across India. Strong winds, thunderstorms, and hailstorms are expected in northwestern and central India, while rising temperatures and heatwave conditions may affect some states. IMD has advised people to remain cautious and farmers to take necessary precautions to protect their crops.
